Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in a California Car Crash

Vince Zampella, who helped create the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.

The celebrated game designer passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.

"This is a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
