The 58-year-old, post a game-changing near-decade reign which brought continental glory and the Reds’ first league title for three decades, has since taken on positions overseeing worldwide football with the Red Bull group and providing guidance for the DFL.

Supporters’ Hopes and His Frank Comments

The club claimed England's top flight under Arne Slot, but many fans who adore the manager would embrace the notion of his potential comeback. During an extensive chat, he told the podcast host: “I declared I won't manage any other side in England. Therefore in case it's my former club...yes. Theoretically it’s possible.”

Klopp also spoke emotionally regarding the passing of the Portuguese star, a 2020 acquisition in 2020, and its impact for the team. The forward lost his life in a vehicle collision alongside his brother recently.

“How do you replace a person like him? This isn't just regarding his footballing ability, it's his character. It's hard to picture the squad missing him. I find it difficult to discuss on this topic. It was an incredible shock for his teammates also. Not a single person will ever use it as an excuse yet it's the reality. Entering the changing area where his spirit remains. Dealing with that emotionally is difficult. Unbearable.”
